Submissions are now open for The-Write-Stuff, Infinithéâtre’s 4th annual playwriting competition for youth ages 12-19!
Open to participants from across Québec, short-listed playwrights are provided mentoring and dramaturgical feedback from industry professionals, as well as a professional staged reading as part of Infinithéâtre’s 4th annual Park ‘N Play Open-Air Play Reading Series!
A $500 cash prize is also awarded to the winning entry.
Infinithéâtre is committed to mentoring and promoting the next generation of
theatre artists in Québec. There are no submission fees for this program. Plays,
monologues, musicals, and other forms of writing are all accepted, with a
suggested length of 10-15 minutes. This competition is unique in Canada. While
there may be other young playwriting competitions, THE-WRITE-STUFF differs
from the rest in two ways:
1. We fully produce a staged reading of the short-listed plays.
2. We provide the playwrights a professional experience from beginning to end.
