Description

Effective immediately and for a very limited time, The AFC will be accepting Emergency Financial Aid applications from entertainment industry members who are currently facing eviction, foreclosure, or utility disconnection. We will be accepting these applications until December 15, 2023, at 5:30pm ET.

We are preparing to fully resume accepting all new applications on January 8, 2024. In the meantime, we currently have capacity to process a limited number of applications to assist the members of our community whose needs are most urgent.

Capacity is limited. As such, we cannot guarantee that all applications will be seen before our scheduled end-of-year closure (December 23 to January 7). Any applications that cannot be seen in December will be seen in priority sequence when the office reopens on January 8, 2024.

Go to The AFC website at https://afchelps.ca/emergency-aid-december-2023/ to learn more about:

  • December 2023 eligibility for those facing eviction, foreclosure, or disconnection;
  • how to apply, including essential support documents;
  • where to send inquiries and applications.

Please note that anyone who applies after December 15th will be asked to re-send their application after January 8, 2024, along with new, up-to-date information.

Additional information about the Emergency Financial Aid Program, including frequently asked questions, can be found at https://afchelps.ca/emergency-aid/. If you have any further questions, please email contact@afchelps.ca to reach the first available program staff member.

A reminder that The AFC's emergency financial aid is not a replacement for lost income. It is also not a loan, so it does not need to be repaid.

The AFC is a charity that is wholly supported by the community we serve. We thank you again for your patience and support.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
