Upintheair is seeking a new curator for the 2025/26 festival.

The Resident Curator Program is an open opportunity for an emerging, re-emerging, or mid-career performing artist or administrator to receive mentorship and experience from Upintheair Theatre in curation for arts festivals under a two-year program.

This is an unprecedented program that allows for an emerging curator to get hands-on learning about festival production, curation of programming, community building and outreach skills, and artistic scouting.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a Lower Mainland resident, and/or available for the entirety of the 2-year agreement;
  • Must be in Vancouver to attend festival events, April, May & early June 2025 and 2026;
  • Relevant experience in producing, performing, creating, or designing performing arts events;
  • Is interested in working as a producer/curator in the performing arts and supporting and lifting up the work of others in addition to their own artistic practice.
