Unconventional Venues Category
Unconventional Venue Category is for shows which activate indie black box or “storefront” spaces, non-traditional performance spaces, and experimental or immersive performance experiences. This may include physical spaces (i.e. galleries, community centres, etc.), or productions that are not tied to a common physical location for the audience.
- Participants apply with a venue and are fully responsible for their rental agreements and any corresponding venue fees, the Festival does not intervene in any rental agreement.
- The participant fee for this category is comprised of a base fee plus potential ticket revenue.
- Participants must propose their venue for approval, and will be programmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
