Downstage is interested in theatrical works that are bold, inclusive and ask complex questions about the world we live in, created by artists who identify as Canadians. They are most interested in pieces that reflect the true diversity of our communities, whether that’s the city of Calgary or your home community. If this describes a project you’re working on, they want to know about it and may be able to help you with further development through their Uprising New Work Program which offers access to funds, space and other assets.
