The playwriting community is diverse, and we’d like ProPlay to better reflect that. And if you’re a BIPOC playwright with a play that’s been professionally-produced, we’d like to bring it to the attention of yet more producers around the world.
So we’ve launched The ProPlay Diversity Project. We welcome submission of professionally-produced plays from BIPOC playwrights, and will devote the Featured Play position on the top page of this site to them in the months to come.
There’s no charge to have your play published on ProPlay, and we don’t participate in production royalties. For more information, please see the Submit your play page and our Agreement and submission form.
Professional production is our chief criterion for publication, but we will also consider scripts which have received showcase, fringe, or non-Equity productions.
So send us your plays! We’d like to help you get them produced again, and again.
