Playwrights Guild of Canada is pleased to open registration for a presentation by Canada Council for the Arts staff on the Council’s various funding streams.

The online session, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 3 pm to 4:40 EST, will open with general information and an overview of the various funding opportunities to you.

Program Officers from Canada Council for the Arts will discuss tips and tricks for preparing strong applications and go over each component’s assessment criteria, as well as discuss the peer assessment process and the changes to the application portal. There will be a question and answer period at the end of each portion of the session.

To ensure we use our time together effectively, please submit your questions (using the registration form) no later than May 29, 2026. These will be shared with CCA staff prior to the session. There may be an opportunity to ask questions live as well, time permitting.

Please note that Council staff may only discuss general, program-wide issues and trends. They will not be able to answer questions that are only pertinent to a single application.
