Member Written Play a Finalist for a LAMBDA Award
Sarah Waisvisz’s two-act play Heartlines: A Love Story, published in November 2025 by Vancouver’s Talonbooks, has been shortlisted for a 2026 Lammy Award (LAMBDA Award) in the category of LGBTQ Drama.
Heartlines: A Love Story was developed in Ottawa over a period of almost ten years thanks to the collective dedication and support of many artists, funding bodies, and supporters.
The LAMBDA Literary awards were created in 1989 in the US to garner visibility for LGBTQ books and LGBTQ authors. The Lammys now celebrate more than 150 LGBTQ writers across 26 categories spanning a number of genres, lived identities, and experiences, and are open to Canadian authors and publishers.
Heartlines is available for purchase on the Canadian Play Outlet HERE.
PGC congratulates Sarah on this achievement!
