Fresh off a successful run at the 2024 Hamilton Fringe Festival, this “comedy with feeling” is an intimate and compelling exploration of love, memory, and the choices that define us. Pete and Renee are hosting a dinner party for Alan, the architect designing their dream home, and his wife, Allie, a Broadway actor. But beneath the surface of polite conversation lies an unresolved past as Pete and Allie once shared a passionate love affair. As the evening unfolds, the past and present collide, transporting the audience through flashbacks to the pivotal moments of Pete and Allie’s relationship. What if you could go back in time? Would you change your story?
Originally debuting in 2021, produced by The Monarch Performing Arts Studio in Huntsville, One Brief Shining Moment has since grown into a beautifully realized production. After captivating audiences at Hamilton Fringe 2024, the show has evolved into a full-length two-act play, deepening its exploration of love, regret, and the enduring impact of the choices we make.

What Critics Are Saying:
“One Brief Shining Moment is a well-crafted, reflective piece of theatre. Its characters are all relatable, especially for those involved in the arts who often struggle between following passion with financial uncertainty over security. It asks all the right questions from “what if?” to, perhaps more importantly, “what now?” Don’t miss it.”
