Raised in Kirkland Lake, in Northern Ontario, Lee attended the University of Toronto (BSc) and the Ryerson Theatre School. As an actor he was worked at the Stratford and Shaw Festivals, and was in the original Broadway Company of COME FROM AWAY. His plays include HIGH LIFE, (Dora Award for Best Play), THE GINKGO TREE, RESISTANCE, WHO HAS SEEN THE WIND, A WEEKEND AT THE LAKE, and RYE AN’ GOSPEL. He wrote the screenplay for the film of HIGH LIFE, (nominated for a Cdn Screenwriter’s Award.)
