Nathan Howe
Nathan is a multi-hyphenate theatre-maker from Saskatoon, Treaty 6, living on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations in Vancouver. He has an MFA in Scriptwriting & Story Design from TMU, BFA in Acting from USask, and is a graduate of The Globe Theatre Conservatory. Nathan produces most of his work under the moniker Theatre Howl. His plays include the meta-rom-com adapted from a John Kendrick Bangs novella, The Love Interest; the historical musical co-written with Andrew Taylor and Clinton Ackerman, Endurance; the solo show about a teacher in Northern Sask, The Wild Dog Waits On The Concrete Path; the wordless Frankenstein adaptation co-written with Morgan Murray, Aiden Flynn Lost His Brother So He Makes Another; and the not-very-fairytale folk musical, Matchstick. Nathan has been in collective creations with The Blyth Festival and Sum Theatre and has performed on stages across Canada.
