Ephraim Ellis is a playwright and actor born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. His first play, the romantic workplace comedy On The Air, premiered at the Lighthouse Festival in July of 2023 before enjoying a second production at the Port Stanley festival later that summer. His second play, the adventure-comedy Bigfoot!, premiered in summer 2024 at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre.
Aside from playwriting, Ephraim has been a professional actor since 2003, having appeared in over a hundred episodes of Canadian television that includes series lead roles on Falcon Beach, Family Biz, and Zixx. However, he is still best recognizable as the troubled Rick Murray on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
