Linda A. Carson’s first play, Dying To Be Thin, won Vancouver’s Jessie Richardson award for best play from an immerging artist. Linda’s next play, Mom’s The Word (co-wrote), won the Jessie for best play and has been translated into 11 languages and produced in 18 countries. Recently Linda co-wrote Driving Me Crazy which she produced and toured to theatres in B.C. Linda has written several plays for young audiences using immersive theatre techniques inspired by her work with England’s Oily Cart Theatre including Jack and The Bean (Jessie Award), Pop Pop, So How Should I Be (Nominated for Tom Henry Award), Here to Hear, and George and Martha (Adapted from James Marshal.) Linda developed the program Firefly for children, youth and seniors that brings individual voices to light through story. Linda, a graduate of Vancouver’s Studio 58, currently lives on Bowen Island, B.C..
