Description

From Script to Soundwaves (Virtual) with Laura Mullin and Chris Tolley

Audio drama offers writers and storytellers a chance to reach new audiences, explore a different way of telling stories, and create work without the costs and limitations of live production. In this nine-week virtual workshop, you’ll write, record, edit, and post-produce the opening scene of your own audio drama while learning the creative and technical process behind professional audio production.

Led by Laura Mullin and Chris Tolley, the creators of CBC’s award-winning podcast PlayME, this workshop is designed for playwrights, screenwriters, fiction writers, and other storytellers interested in creating work for audio.

Working on your own project, you’ll move through the entire production process—from developing your script to recording actors, editing dialogue, building soundscapes, and mixing your final scene. Along the way, you’ll receive feedback, as well as insights from guest artists working in audio drama and podcasting.

Application Deadline – September 27, 2026
