Description

The Artist Mentorship Program (AMP) by Black Theatre Workshop supports emerging and mid-career artists on their journey to becoming self-sustaining professionals. AMP is our national training program for Black, Indigenous, people of colour (POC), and LGBTQIA2S+ artists, offered in both English and French, from the perspective of an English-language company in Quebec.

AMP focuses on bridging the learning gaps, through direct one-to-one mentorship, skill-building workshops, and peer-to-peer networking. The program also supports a cohort of 50% marginalized francophone artists, offering meaningful access to Francophone artistic practice.

The submission period for the 2026-27 applications is now open. The submission deadline is July 6th, 2026. Successful candidates will be contacted for an online interview with the BTW Team. All applicants will receive a response from Black Theatre Workshop by August 2026.

Find full details and application form HERE.

If you have any questions about the application process please send an email to our team at amp@theatrebtw.ca, or call us at 514-932-1104 ext. 201.
