Treading Theatre Festival

May 28 - June 1

Free – $25

A new independent, site-responsive, theatre festival in Kitchener Ontario.

Four carefully selected local productions, one internationally touring show, an open air maker’s market, … 24 performances over 5 days!

The Treading Theatre Festival is co-produced by guild member, Ciarán Myers, and fellow MFA graduate, Maria Colonescu, to help raise the floor and provide professional opportunity to independent artists and audiences. Because Waterloo Region is a GREAT place for artists to come from, grow, stay, and arrive.

We believe theatre should inhabit a multitude of forms, tickets should be accessibly priced, and that merit follows opportunity.

Believe In It Alive, a satirical live-looping musical satire party, by Braeden Etienne.

Krapp’s Last Tape, Samuel Beckett’s modern classic, featuring Gary Kirkham, directed by Maria Colonescu.

Trading Post, an interactive experiment, by Nathaniel Voll, Ciarán Myers, & Matt White.

Night Just Before the Forest, a sweeping rich classic french drama, on tour from NYC.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour, featuring some of KW’s most favourite performers!

All at the Schneider Haus National Historic Site in downtown Kitchener.
