William Ian Walker is a Canadian actor, musician, singer, author, and playwright whose multidisciplinary career spans theatre, film, and choral performance. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Walker developed an early passion for storytelling and music, later studying vocal performance, opera, theatre, and film at McMaster University.

Walker’s stage work includes classic musicals, contemporary theatre, and original productions that showcase his versatility as both performer and creator. His acclaimed play Stirring My Soul to Sing—The Play! (2022) has gained recognition within ADHD and mental health communities for its portrayal of family, faith, and neurodiversity. His memoir, Stirring My Soul to Sing: Overcoming ADHD Through Song, has been nominated in independent literary award circles for its contribution to arts advocacy and personal narrative.

As a musician and singer, Walker has performed with respected Canadian choirs and ensembles in concerts, recordings, and interdisciplinary collaborations. His musical theatre work includes Cabaret (1997) and the original play 20 Minutes Until Closing (1999), written especially for him. In 2010, he received McMaster University’s Centennial Award for his artistic contributions to Hamilton’s cultural life.

With four decades as an arts consultant and advocate, Walker continues to blend performance, writing, and community engagement, creating work that reflects his belief in the transformative power of story, song, and human connection.
