DIANA TSO 曹楓 is a Chinese Canadian theatre artist, playwright, storyteller and Dora award winning actor. She’s a graduate of the University of Toronto in English Literature and of Ecole Internationale de Théâtre de Jacques Lecoq in France. She’s performed internationally for over 25 years. Selected credits: Pu Songling Strange Tales, Dante’s Inferno, Chekhov’s Shorts and Les Misérables (Theatre Smith-Gilmour), The 52 Live (Luminato), The Cherry Orchard (Modern Times), Bakkhai and The Komagata Maru Incident (Stratford Festival). Her plays, Red Snow (2012) and Comfort (2016) bring to light the resilience of women in war with the latter garnering a Dora nomination; her Monkey Queen (2018) re-imagines mythology from the female perspective and her Carried by the River (2025), inspired by the daughters of China’s one-child policy, garnered two Dora nominations.
