Shaun co wrote a new Musical: Beautiful Scars, with Order of Canada recipient Tom Wilson. It has its world premiere in May 2024 at Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton.
Shaun was born in Glasgow Scotland raised in Calgary Alberta. He graduated from the BFA
Acting program at the University of Alberta and has been acting professionally for over 25 years.
He began his professional acting career as a member of the Alberta Theatre Projects Playwrights Festival company. It was here that his love of new plays and collaboration was born. Since then Shaun has performed across the country from Stratford Shakespeare Festival company to the Confederation Centre in PEI.
He also works in front of the camera and has appeared in over 100 episodes of Film and television in popular shows such as Suits, Fringe and The Killing and Heartland.
Theatre highlights. Include: Rock ’n’ Roll, Of Mice and Men (Canadian Stage) One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Theatre Calgary/Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre); The Glass Menagerie and Shining City (Citadel Theatre,) The Pillowman and The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot (Birdland Theatre); Time after time: The Chet Baker Project (Crow’s Theatre) Stones In His Pockets, Glass Menagerie (ATP and The Grand Theatre). Shaun has also been part of the Stratford festival comment for two seasons and is the recipient of two tyrone Guthrie awards.
Shaun is married and has three children. He lives in Calgary and is committed to helping grow the arts community there.
