Trudee Romanek was born, raised, and taken to her first live theatre performance (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown) in Barrie, Ontario. With a double specialist in English and drama from U of T, Trudee spent a decade as a developmental editor and two more as a writer of non-fiction and YA fiction, before shifting into writing for the stage. Her works include Bobbie, Bright Daybreak, “I” on the Prize, which won the President’s Award at the Snapshots Festival, and If the Shoe Fits. For her work, she has received a Barrie Arts Award and a Heritage Award. And though she loves to travel, she still resides in Barrie.
