Rick Butts
After a long career as a speechwriter, Rick Butts has returned to his first love as a writer: creating sad and funny plays about Canadian history and nothing special. He also writes audio dramas. His recent plays have appeared professionally and at community theatres in Canada, the US and the UK.
After studying professional acting at the Banff School of Fine Arts, Rick completed degrees in literature and drama at McGill University and the University of Toronto. He taught dramatic literature and professional writing at colleges and universities in Ontario, including the University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University. He has published short stories.
