Laura Mullin
Laura Mullin is an award-winning playwright, director, producer, and co-host of CBC Podcasts and Radio’s PlayME, which won Gold at the New York Festival Radio Awards.
Laura has created several acclaimed productions as the Co-Artistic Director of Expect Theatre with Chris Tolley. Her notable works include Romeo/Juliet Remixed, nominated for five Dora Awards, Awake (Next Stage Festival), Awake The Film, and Bursuera, which toured 21 cities nationally and became a TV pilot for CBC Drama. Laura also created One Sleepless Night (International Festival of Authors) and the TV series Mini Makeover for CBC Kids.
Her short story “History of Visual Sources” won the Open Book Short Story Contest and was adapted into a play, receiving an Honourable Mention for the 2021 National Voaden Playwriting Prize. She has been a regular contributor to CBC.ca and recently co-created and wrote seven episodes of the audio drama series The Tunnel Runners.
