Katherine Koller
Katherine Koller writes for stage, page, and screen. Full-length stage plays include her Alberta LandWorks trilogy, The Seed Savers, Coal Valley: the Making of a Miner, and Last Chance Leduc, which won the Alberta Playwriting Competition. Recent plays are Riverkeeper, an Alberta Playwriting Competition Finalist, Hope Soup, and The Percussionist. The Handless Maiden is a chamber opera libretto, and some of her ballet libretti are Ariadne’s Gate, Damsels of the Night and Cave Beat. Her books are Voices of the Land: The Seed Savers and Other Plays; Art Lessons, a novel, Finalist for the Edmonton Book Prize; and Winning Chance (stories), winner of a High Plains Book Award. Her web series is Sustainable Me. Winner of several screenwriting awards, her feature, Cowboy Boots and a Mustang, is in development. Katherine is a founding producer of Edmonton Script Salon, and a recent member of the Citadel Theatre Playwrights’ Lab.
