Geraldine Fuenmayor is a Venezuelan-Canadian theatre artist whose bold and multidisciplinary artwork — spanning playwriting, acting, directing, producing and singing — channels the energy of her Latin American roots, immigrant journey, and queer, IBPOC identity. A brave theatre voice since 2014, she has ignited stages with companies like ExpresARTe, Handsome Alice, Urban Stories, Sage Theatre, weaving narratives that pulse with resilience, identity and belonging. From her poetic and movement driven monologues in La Huesera to the deeply personal pieces such as Tuberoses, Ginger and Other Essences and Surviving My Queer Immigration. Geraldine crafts theatre that is lyrical and unapologetically human. She is a founding member of ExpresARTe Theatre, committed to creating space for complex, culturally grounded and strong female characters, and stories that spark empathy and transformation.
