Franca Miraglia

Franca Miraglia completed her Masters of Fine Arts degree at York University for Theatre, Playwriting and has participated in the Southampton Playwriting Conference (Stony Brook), LAByrinth Theatre’s Intensive Ensemble program (New York, 2009), New Perspectives Theater Women’s Work program (New York) and Theatre Passe Muraille’s Playwrights Collective (Toronto).

Franca has written nine full-length plays with productions in Toronto (Last Days of Graceland at Theatre Passe Muraille; Platinum Travel Club at Theatre Passe Muraille and Life on a Diet at The Fringe: Toronto’s Theatre Festival); New York, New York (Platinum Travel Club by New Perspectives Theater and Life on a Diet by The Looking Glass Theatre) and Bloomington, Illinois (Platinum Travel Club by the Bloomington Playwrights Project’s Dark Alley Late Night Series). Awards include: 8th Annual North American Actors Association New Play Festival, Winner (London, England) and Reva Shiner Playwriting Contest, Finalist (Bloomington, Illinois).
