Words With Will (3rd Edition) – DEADLINE: 2026/05/22

Nearly half a millenia ago, in Stratford-upon-Avon, the most influential playwright of the English language took his first breath. Today, we’re still reading what some white guy from the Renaissance had to say about the world. Sometimes, we’re tempted to write back.

In partnership with Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal, Repercussion Theatre is sending out an open call to local playwrights who might have something to say about Shakespeare for its 3rd edition of Words with Will! They will be selecting two writers who will get to develop their story with artistic and financial support. This includes a year-long partnership with a dramaturg, the culmination of your work in a workshop presentation and a $5000 grant!
