Thirty-five years together; they met in a waiting room of a doctor that performed electro-shock aversion therapy on gay men. This is Toronto in 1972, the true event that inspired “Long Live the Rainbow”.
Bring your friends and celebrate with us the decades of 2SLGBTQ+ activism, that are now threatened. The play, focusing on a relationship, serves as a reminder of why we fought for the right to love regardless of our gender.
On soon presented by Elderberry Productions at the Alumnae Theatre from May 16 to 25th – Canada’s oldest women’s theatre. $5 of every ticket goes to Rainbow Railroad. There is a lobby display about the period by The ArQuives.
For tickets, follow the event link below or go to www.eventbrite.com and search for “Long Live the Rainbow”.
There are inexpensive tickets for students and arts workers ($14)
