PGC members have been paired up with an international playwright to share their work and discuss the craft of playwriting with one another. You can tune into these live events and get a glimpse of what these theatre creators have been up to!

About the Playwrights:

Trina Davies is a playwright based in Vancouver BC Canada. Trina’s award-winning plays include Shatter, Multi User Dungeon, The Auction, The Bone Bridge and Waxworks. Her play The Romeo Initiative was a finalist for Canada’s top literary prize the Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama 2012 and was the winner of the National Enbridge Prize for Established Artist. Her plays have been performed across Canada and in a number of other countries including the United States, Germany, Italy, and India. Her work has been translated into Italian and German. She has participated in artist residencies at the Stratford Festival in Ontario, Banff Centre for the Arts, the Playwrights Theatre Centre and the Bella Vita Playwrights Retreat in Italy.

Ann Mariager trained as a journalist at the Danish School of Media and Journalism and at Politiken. Ann has a Master’s degree from Columbia University School of Journalism, New York and is a Culture and feature journalist at Politiken.

She became known for her radio reports for DR from New York in the 80s, when she lived in the city and was press and cultural attaché at the Danish Consulate General.

Feature journalist and columnist at Børsens Nyhedsmagasin, the later Berlingske Nyhedsmagasin. Ann was lead author and woman behind the satirical women’s cabarets The City’s Best Breasts I-III (1987, 1992 and 2001).

Author at the Circus Revue on several occasions and newly developed TV satire in Danmarks Radio as co-writer of Saturday series such as The Good, The Bad and The Really Funny and TV Anchovies in the 1990s. She was Revue Writer of the Year in 1989.
