CBI 24/25 Session – Lily Falk & Linda McLean

PGC members have been paired up with an international playwright to share their work and discuss the craft of playwriting with one another. You can tune into these live events and get a glimpse of what these theatre creators have been up to!

Craft Bites International is open and free to the public.

About the Playwrights:

Lily FalkLily Falk (she/her) is an emerging theatre artist living in Kjipuktuk and co-artistic director of Gale Force Theatre. Her first play Crypthand, won the RBC Emerging Artist Award through Playwrights Guild of Canada in 2022 and went on to productions at Ship’s Company Theatre and an upcoming performance with Neptune’s Theatre’s Young Company. She also helps create outdoor community arts spectacles with the River Clyde Pageant and with her company’s preteen and teen ensembles. 

Linda McLeanLinda McLean is an award-winning playwright based in Glasgow. Her plays are produced in the UK and internationally, most notably in the USA and France. In 2023, she wrote Castle Lennox for Lung Ha Theatre Company and the Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh. During the pandemic she wrote, Go On, a response to Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape for the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow. She is currently under commission to the Citizens Theatre, the Royal Lyceum, Dundee Rep and Magnetic North. She is an excellent cook, loves board games (current favourite is Everdell), crochet, and has ambitions to weave her own willow coffin. All true.
