Born in Winnipeg, raised in Victoria, and based in Vancouver, Sally is an award-winning writer/educator who also directs, acts, and produces. Her plays have been published, produced, and presented in Canada, the U.S.A., India, Sweden, and South Africa. Selected theatre honours: Third Annual Canada Peace Play Prize, Herr Beckmann’s People; Enbridge Established Playwright Award, And Bella Sang with Us; Eugene O’Neill Playwriting Conference Shortlist, Centurions; Writer in Residence, City of Richmond, Our Ghosts; Prime Minister’s award for her work with youth and theatre. During lockdown, Sally began adapting her plays for screen and has gained awards and accolades. Works in process include book and lyrics for Polly and the Penthouse: A Spirited Cabaret and her first novel: Squally Man.
