Scot N. Moir
Scot N. Moir is an emerging voice in Canadian absurdist drama and literature. Beginning with traditional romances including the original Dietrich & Maria (Looking Glass Theatre, 2024) and adaptations of Treasure Island (2024) and the Robin Hood inspired Marian (2026), Moir has since branched into absurdism and magical realism with 2026’s The Bellefontaine Bridegroom, a 1960’s tragicomic continuation of the Pygmalion and Galatea myth, and Night Language, a Jungian inspired dreamscape. Moir is fascinated by the intersection of language, consciousness, and the world, pushing the boundary of theatre further and further into the realm of experience and encounter.
Moir is the author of one novel, And I Woke Up Walking, described by one reviewer as “a haunting, unclassifiable work of creative imagination.”
