Human-shaped, monkey-loving, robot-fighting, pirate-hearted, storytelling junkie, Mark A. Rayner is an award-winning author of satire, dark comedy and speculative fiction. When not working on the next novel, he pens plays, short stories, squibs and other drivel. (Some pure, and some quite tainted with meaning.) His plays include Duet for Killers and Cordially Entertaining Emily Chesley. He holds an undergraduate drama degree from Queen’s University at Kingston and a master’s degree in journalism from Western University. He won’t let go of either. Born in Toronto, he currently lives in London, Ontario, where he also teaches at the Faculty of Information Studies at Western University.
