Laura Quigley is a Canadian performer, playwright, director and educator. Her play The Waves was published in issue 196 of The Canadian Theatre Review, Spring, 2024, originally produced at SummerWorks Theatre Festival in Toronto, 2019.
Laura’s work explores the human voice as a starting point and guide in her writing and devising. She has taught voice, acing, devising and solo performance across Canada and in the US, both privately and institutionally including Concordia University, Toronto Metropolitan University, Wayne State University, the CREATE Institute, St. Clair College and The University of Windsor.
Laura holds a Masters in Theatre Studies from the University of Guelph, a BFA in Acting from Simon Fraser University, and she is an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Performance with a specialization in Voice and Speech Pedagogy at Wayne State University.
Laura lives in Belle River Ontario with her partner Michael, her two daughters Maewyn and Eden, and their dog called Goose.
