Dina Morrone

Performer/playwright Dina Morrone was born in Port Arthur, Ontario (Thunder Bay), to Italian immigrant parents from Calabria in Southern Italy. A graduate of Metropolitan University in Toronto, she worked in Rome, Italy in TV/Film/VO, before transferring to Los Angeles, where she is the winner of a Valley Theatre Award for her one-person show THE ITALIAN IN ME and a Scenie Award (Best Comedy) for her 12-person play MOOSE ON THE LOOSE, a comedy about an Italian family and a Canadian Moose. Morrone is the current Executive Contributing Editor and Writer for THE EDEN MAGAZINE, a conscious lifestyle magazine, and interviewed the likes of Gina Lollobrigida, Blair Underwood, Louis Gossett Jr., Shohreh Aghdashloo, Bruce Dern, Mariel Hemingway, to name a few. She is a member of the Theatre West Playwrights Group, Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, Dramatists Guild Of America, SAGAFTRA, ACTRA, and AEA, and an alumnus of UCLA Creative Writing.
