Dawn Moore
Dawn Moore calls the North Vancouver mountains home. Dawn has worked in many aspects of theatre – actor, director, educator and writer. Her focus is theatre as a vehicle of social change housed in an entertaining style, on topics such as politics, environment, and bitcoin.
Her early work explored improv-inspired, original plays touring with Company One and Vancouver Playhouse Theatre-in-Education. Dawn is a founding faculty member of Capilano University Theatre program, teaching acting, directing and playwriting. She has directed over 40 productions and produced numerous student festivals.
In partnership with Desmond Price, Dawn created Curious Creations Theatre. They have developed a collaborative, synergistic method of playwriting. Plays include one-act, Waiting for Garbo (premier, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), later developed into a full-length musical (premier, Presentation House Theatre), Draining the Swamp (premier Vancouver Fringe Festival) and Murder Bit by Byte.
