MJ Miller
MJ Miller is a comedy writer, stand up and actor. MJ’s plays include Habit of Murder commissioned by Ship’s Company Theatre (performed Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia), Cradle and All (Neptune Theatre, Eastern Front Theatre, NS), Joy to the World (workshopped by Halifax Theatre for Young People) as well as 7 Sins and The Creation of Molly Carter. Their one person stand up shows have been featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Halifax Fringe. MJ’s writing contracts include the long running Canadian TV sketch comedy show 22 minutes, TV with Tv’s Jonathan Torrens, Hungry Eyes Entertainment, and Clerisy Entertainment. With Clerisy, she created her own show: The Motherload, which aired in 2022. MJ has performed at many national and international comedy festivals and as an actor, her work has been recognized with two ACTRA nominations, and two Merritt nominations. She has appeared on television on FOX, Hulu, CBC, CTV, WGN, Superchannel, TVtropolis, Teletoon and more.
