Michael Milech grew up in Montreal, studied acting in Toronto, studied playwriting in New Brunswick, and lives in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. His show Honesty Rents by the Hour won Best English Text at the 2016 Montreal Fringe Festival, with a subsequent production nominated for several Montreal English Theatre Awards in 2017, including Outstanding New Text. Michael has also had works performed at the NotaBle Acts festival in Fredericton, and his The Nutritional Value of Anger won Infinithéâtre’s 2017 Write-on-Q contest for Quebec English scripts. He writes either at cafes around the national capital region or at home, where an annoyed pug wanders frequently across the keyboard, causing typos.
