Melody Anderson is a playwright and theatre artist, specializing in mask design. She was a member of the collective that created The Number 14 (Axis Theatre), which toured internationally for twenty years and received a NYC Drama Desk nomination for innovation. Her plays include Me and You (Arts Club Theatre 2018); Fling (Ruby Slippers’ Advance Theatre Festival 2019); and Home (winner of the 2023 David King Prize for Comedy, premiering at Western Gold Theatre). She is a recipient of numerous Jesse Richardson awards for both design and collective creation. Her book, Making Masks, is available at blurb.ca. Melody lives in Vancouver on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish people.
