Melody Anderson is a playwright and theatre artist, specializing in mask design. She was a member of the collective that created The Number 14 (Axis Theatre), which toured internationally for twenty years and received a NYC Drama Desk nomination for innovation. Her plays include Me and You (Arts Club Theatre 2018); Fling (Ruby Slippers’ Advance Theatre Festival 2019); and Home (winner of the 2023 David King Prize for Comedy, premiering at Western Gold Theatre). She is a recipient of numerous Jesse Richardson awards for both design and collective creation. Her book, Making Masks, is available at blurb.ca. Melody lives in Vancouver with actor/writer Peter Anderson, on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish people.
