Kelly Rebar was born in Alberta. She had her first play produced at age 17, attended the first Playwrights’ Colony at the Banff Centre in 1974, studied film at York University, and went on to work in theatre, film, and television. She is perhaps best associated with her play, Bordertown Cafe, which has been widely produced across Canada, and made into a feature film. Kelly resides in Nelson, BC..
