AARON JENSEN is a Toronto-based composer, playwright, and producer. His theatrical works include: Armchair Confidential, (finalist for Best New Musical by the Playwrights Guild of Canada, and named #1 Stage Play of the Month by Coverfly in October 2023); The Trial of Bastiano di Bologna, which was produced by the WEBBY award-winning podcast, Bite-Sized Broadway (2021); and Henry Box Brown (co-music, co-lyrics), which was recently optioned for Broadway by TONY award-winning producers. From 2017-2020, Aaron acted as musical director, band leader, and composer for the EMMY award-winning series, Schitt’s Creek. He is currently developing two new musicals: The Cat’s Meow, with playwright Steven Peros, based on Peros’ 1997 play and 2002 Lionsgate feature film, and Creature, in collaboration with Canadian librettist, Sara Farb. Jensen’s compositions have been performed around the world by choirs, symphony orchestras, and JUNO/GRAMMY award-winning artists.
