Sophia Fabiilli

Sophia Fabiilli is an award-winning playwright, actor, producer, and educator. She is the recipient of The Second City Award for Best New Comedy and the Ellen Ross Stuart Opening Doors Award. In 2023, her play Liars at a Funeral premiered at the Blyth Festival and is being produced across Canada including at the Thousand Islands Playhouse where it broke the record for best-selling comedy in the company’s history. In 2024, her Why it’s Impossible to Raise a Girl will premiere in Kingston and will then be presented by the Great Canadian Theatre Company. Sophia is a graduate of the Theatre and Drama Studies program at University of Toronto and Sheridan College, the Prime Time TV Writing Program at the Canadian Film Centre, and holds her Bachelor’s of Education from Queen’s University.
