Beau Dixon

Beau Dixon’s chamber musical Beneath Springhill: The Maurice Ruddick Story won a Dora Mavor Moore award for best new play (TYA). It has been produced by Lunchbox Theatre (Alberta), Arts Club Theatre (British Columbia), Theatre Orangeville, Talk Is Free Theatre (Ontario), Watermark Theatre (PEI), Neptune Theatre (Nova Scotia) and toured extensively in public schools and secondary schools throughout Canada. Other plays included Bloom: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable, Once A Flame, From Here To Eternity, Freedom Bells, Other People’s Heaven, Kensington: The Musical. He also co-created and co-wrote Shape Of Home: Songs In Search Of Al Purdy which was nominated for Best New Musical and awarded for Best Music Direction. Beau is a KM Hunter Award finalist, and was inducted into Peterborough Ontario’s Pathway Of Fame for his leadership in the arts. He is also an award winning actor, music director, sound designer and artistic director of Firebrand Theatre.
