Katerina Bakolias is a queer, Greek-Canadian, award-winning actor, playwright, and screenwriter. She attended Dalhousie University’s Fountain School of Performing Arts where she graduated with honours in Theatre Performance in 2015. Her first play, ‘Til Death Do Us Part, a farce about a wedding gone wrong, was met with uproarious laughter at its premiere in Halifax, Nova Scotia in May 2022 – produced by Kick at the Dark Theatre Co. with funding provided by Arts Nova Scotia, the Canada Council for the Arts, and Theatre Nova Scotia. Her second play, The Ghost of Violet Shaw (a farce about a seance gone wrong) is currently in development with assistance from the Canada Council for the Arts. Katerina recently enjoyed the release of her first book, Luscious Love (a queer YA romance), published by James Lorimer & Company Ltd. in February 2024 and is currently working on several new projects in both film and theatre.
