PGC will administer your amateur rights on request only. The commission fee charged to the playwright is 10% of the royalties if a member, and 15% if the playwright is not a member.*

PGC requires written permission signed and dated by any co-creators. Permission should include information regarding the royalty split between co-creators, permission for PGC to manage the amateur performance rights, the point person for any requests, contact information for any co-creators not already PGC members, etc. Please contact orders@playwrightsguild.ca with any questions.

PGC prefers to pay any co-creators for their portion of royalties directly.

PGC requires the banking information, address, phone number, and HST/GST# of each creator who will be owed royalties. Payees that are not active members of PGC will be charged a higher Commission Fee (15%) on their royalties.

Do you give PGC permission to charge the standard rate:*

PGC will request either a flat rate or a percentage of the box office as is appropriate on a case by case basis. Your royalties are paid to you once the production closes and the company has fully paid for the rights. You will not receive your royalties in instalments.
