Annie Gibson is the publisher of Playwrights Canada Press, the Toronto-based publishing house founded in 1984 by the Playwrights Guild of Canada. She has been with the press for 20 years and took on the role of publisher in 2008. Under her leadership, the press releases about 25 titles a year and is the only Canadian press dealing exclusively in theatrical work. She has spoken about adapting to changes in the industry, including rapidly growing e-book sales driven partly by students. Her stated goal is to get readers engaged with modern theatre.
