Paula Wing

Paula Wing is a playwright, translator, dramaturge, and playwriting teacher. Her plays have been produced across Canada and internationally, beginning with her Chalmers Award winning adaptation of Joy Kogawa’s Naomi’s Road. She found a theatrical home at Young Peoples Theatre in Toronto, which has done 6 of her plays. Her contributions to Theatre for Young Audiences includes original plays, adaptations, and translations (from French to English and from Italian to English). Her translation of Dario Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist for Soulpepper won a Best Production Dora in 2015, and her translation of Stefano Massini’s Intractable Woman has been produced multiple times in Canada and the U.S. In 2024, Paula received TAPA’s George Luscombe Mentorship Award, acknowledging decades of work helping to develop young theatre creators.
