Ontario, CA
Ann Snead grew up in Vancouver when it was still affordable, but now lives in the Niagara region. She turned to playwriting after a career spent teaching English as a Second Language. Her plays have been produced in a number of venues, including campus radio. They include Choices, winner in the one-act category of the Canadian National Playwriting Competition, and An Ordinary Guy, anthologized in PGC’s Long Story Short. She’s drawn to social issues, such as genetic engineering, euthanasia, gentrification and, in an effort to get some mileage out of her M.A. in Medieval History, to historical biographies. She’s a member of PGC and Playwrights Niagara.
