Sarah Rodgers

Sarah Rodgers is a theatre practitioner based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is a busy freelance director and the Artistic Director of United Players. Sarah received her BFA (Acting) and her MFA (Directing) from The University of B.C. Sarah is also a dramaturge and has directed many new Canadian plays. Sarah adapted Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales which was produced by Chemainus Theatre Festival, Rosebud Theatre and recently enjoyed sold out houses at United Players. Sarah has directed for many theatres across Canada. Highlights: The Audience and Pride and Prejudice (The Arts Club Stanley Alliance Stage); The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe ( Pacific Theatre); The Little Mermaid (Opera House Theatre in North Carolina); Elf the Musical (Persephone Theatre); The Duchess (Ruby Slippers) Love Always, Patsy Cline and The Marvellous Wonderettes (Theatre North West); Gaslight and The Piano Teacher (Chemainus Theatre Festival). Sarah is also a film/tv actor and has appeared in Riverdale (Season 3); Woke (Season 1) and various MOW’s. Sarah has been nominated for many Jessie Richardson professional Theatre awards and has has been the recipient of 4 Jessies and 2 Ovation awards.
