Michael Pollard
Michael is an actor/director/playwright from Toronto Canada. Graduate Queen’s University BA Honours Music/Drama. With forty-plus years in the business, many wonderful opportunities and learning experiences have only heightened his passion for Theatre. There is nothing that compares to the collaboration between playwright, actor/director and audience. It can be absolutely magical. These are the moments he lives for as it makes life worth living. Some of his plays include, Learning to be a man which he made into a short film and renamed Danny May. It won multiple awards around the world. Harriet Tubman a play which toured Ontario to sold-out audiences. A Pain in the Arts, which played Kingston Grand, to rave reviews. The King The Musical was a Toronto fringe hit and Michael has also written many libretto’s for “Tapestry Opera” some of which have been added to the Canadian Opera’s first book of song.
