Born and raised in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador, Jeff began his career as a writer/actor with the Mummers Theatre Troupe in 1976. In 1991 he moved to Vancouver and focused on playwrighting. Since then, he’s written close to twenty plays that have been produced on professional stages across the country as well as the U.S, Ireland, and CBC Radio. His work includes, Elvis & Mavis, the Ed & Ed trilogy, The Known Soldier, Scandal – The Robert Sommer’s Story and most recently, 17 Men. His latest play, Jack & The Wale is in development. His adaptations of A Christmas Carol, Peter Pan and Robin Hood have been produced across Canada including Vancouver’s Carousel Theatre, Kamloops’ Western Canada Theatre Company, Alberta Theatre Projects in Calgary, the Globe Theatre in Regina and the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario. In 2019 Jeff received a Certificate in Creative Writing from Simon Fraser University.
